Biology depth
Life processes, diagrams and terminology taken well past board depth.
- Beyond-board depth on life processes
- Diagram accuracy and labelling
- Precise terminology drilled
Biology given the weight it deserves, with physics and chemistry to matching depth — plus the diagram and terminology precision NEET rewards.
Biology given the time it deserves, with chemistry and physics to matching depth. Careful diagrams, precise words, and science explained so it makes sense — not so it can be feared.
NEET Foundation classes build strong science foundations — biology, chemistry and physics — for students who may later prepare for medical entrance study. At Brolly Juniors in Hyderabad this runs for Classes 9 and 10. Biology takes the largest share of time, diagrams and terminology are practised weekly, and the board syllabus is covered in full alongside.
Please read Brolly Juniors is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Testing Agency, NEET, or any medical council or college. We do not promise ranks, qualification, marks, or admission to MBBS or any medical course. This is a school-level science foundation programme, not entrance coaching, and nothing on this page is medical advice.
Brolly Juniors runs NEET Foundation classes in Hyderabad for Classes 9 and 10. Biology takes the largest share of time because it carries the largest share of the NEET paper, with physics and chemistry taught to matching depth. Diagram accuracy, terminology precision and objective technique are practised weekly.
Biology gets the heaviest share of the timetable, because it is the part of science that rewards steady, early precision.
We do not tell children their future depends on Class 9. It does not. Curiosity lasts longer than panic and works better.
School marks are not traded away for exam practice. Both are covered across the two years.
Weekly test results go to the family. Students are never ranked publicly in front of the class.
NEET Foundation is Class 9 and 10 science taught with more care and more depth, especially in biology.
School science covers a topic to the level the board paper needs. NEET Foundation takes the same topic and asks for more: the correct word rather than a nearby one, a diagram drawn from memory rather than copied, and the reason behind a process rather than its name alone.
Easy example: most students can say the heart pumps blood. Fewer can draw its four chambers, label them correctly, and explain why the left side has a thicker wall than the right. That gap — between knowing of something and knowing it properly — is what this programme closes.
At Brolly Juniors this runs across two years, Class 9 and Class 10, with the board syllabus covered in full throughout.
Learning one system properly makes the next one easier, because the words and the way diagrams work carry over. Two years of this adds up quietly.
Biology asks you to hold a great deal in your head. Spaced, regular practice from Class 9 does that far better than a rush later.
Even if your child later chooses engineering, research, agriculture or something unrelated, careful observation and accurate language are useful everywhere.
Because biology rewards accumulated precision rather than problem-solving speed. Diagram work and terminology started in Class 9 build up in a way that late cramming simply cannot replicate. On pressure A Class 9 student does not need to have chosen a career. This programme is a good science education first and a preparation route second. If your child changes direction in Class 11, nothing learned here is wasted.
Class 9 and 10 biology is genuinely the foundation of the NEET syllabus, far more directly than in physics or chemistry. The time split reflects that.
Life processes, diagrams and terminology taken well past board depth.
Bonding, reactions and calculations to the depth the later syllabus assumes.
The mechanics, optics and electricity NEET draws on, with numerical fluency.
Weekly timed tests, an error log, and review of every repeated mistake.
Life processes, diagrams and terminology taken well past board depth. Diagrams are drawn from memory and labelled precisely, because that is the skill that compounds.
Bonding, the periodic table as a readable pattern, reaction prediction and calculations taken to the depth the later syllabus assumes.
Core mechanics, optics and electricity with numerical fluency — including rebuilding a formula from the idea rather than recalling it blindly.
A weekly timed test, an error log sorted by cause, and an individual review of repeated mistakes every fortnight.
Readiness matters more than age. Two students in the same class can be at very different stages, and that is normal.
| Class | Usual age | Main focus | What good progress looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| Class 9 | About 14 | Biology depth begins. Diagram accuracy, terminology, and the habit of weekly practice. | Draws and labels a system from memory, using the correct words. |
| Class 10 | About 15 | Harder material, board preparation, objective technique and error elimination. | Answers NEET-style questions accurately and removes a repeated error type. |
Younger children NEET Foundation at Brolly Juniors begins in Class 9. For a younger child, General Science (Classes 4–7), IIT Foundation (Classes 8–10) or Olympiad Foundation (Classes 4–10) is the better fit. We do not recommend starting entrance-shaped preparation in primary or middle school.
Biology gets the largest share of time because it is the part of science most open to careful early preparation.
Biology is less about speed and more about accumulated accuracy. A student who has drawn the same diagram twenty times over two years does not need to cram it later — they simply know it.
Easy example: ask a student to draw a leaf's cross-section. One copies it from the book. Another closes the book and draws it, then checks. Only the second student has actually learned anything, and it takes about the same amount of time.
Work covers life processes, cell structure, nutrition, respiration, transport, control and coordination, reproduction in plants and animals, heredity basics and the environment.
The main systems — digestive, respiratory, circulatory, nervous and excretory — taught as connected machinery rather than five separate chapters.
How plants make food, move water, and reproduce; how animals are classified, how they adapt, and how living things depend on one another.
Matter, atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table as a pattern to read, reaction prediction, acids and bases, and calculations introduced carefully.
Motion, force, work and energy, light and optics, sound, electricity and magnetism — with the numerical method and units treated as part of the subject.
Safety Sessions use demonstrations, models, diagrams and worked examples. Students are not asked to handle hazardous chemicals, mains electricity or open flames, and no experiment is set as unsupervised homework. Anything involving heat, electricity or chemicals is a supervised demonstration only.
These three are taught together because living things do not obey subject boundaries.
Digestion, respiration and photosynthesis are chemical reactions happening inside a body. Understanding bonds makes them far easier to hold on to.
Blood flowing through vessels is fluid pressure. The eye focusing is a lens. Hearing is waves. The physics is not a separate topic — it is the mechanism.
A student who avoids chemistry will hit a wall in life processes. The three subjects are taught together so that gap never opens up quietly.
Observation means noticing what is actually there, not what you expected.
Problem solving is what you do when you do not know the next step.
A concept question checks whether the idea was understood, not whether a definition was memorised.
This runs alongside school science, not instead of it.
| Aspect | School science | NEET Foundation |
|---|---|---|
| Diagrams | Usually copied from the book | Drawn from memory, then checked |
| Words | A close-enough word often passes | The precise term is expected |
| Depth | To the level the board paper needs | Past board depth, especially in biology |
| Format | Mostly written answers | Objective format added, with a time limit |
| Wrong answers | Marked and moved on from | Logged by cause and revisited |
These are separate programmes, and most Class 9 students have not genuinely decided between them yet — which is completely fine. If your child is undecided, IIT Foundation covers physics, chemistry and maths at depth and keeps both routes open for another year.
| NEET Foundation | JEE Foundation | IIT Foundation | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classes | 9–10 | 9–10 | 8–10 |
| Subjects | Biology, chemistry, physics | Maths, physics, chemistry | Maths, physics, chemistry |
| Leading subject | Biology, by a clear margin | Balanced, exam-shaped | Balanced, depth-first |
| Signature skill | Diagram accuracy and precise terminology | Objective technique and the error log | Concept depth and reasoning |
| Best for | Students leaning towards medicine | Students set on the engineering route | Students who have not decided |
The key difference is maths. NEET Foundation replaces the maths emphasis with biology depth. If your child enjoys maths and is unsure about medicine, IIT Foundation is the safer starting point — moving across later is straightforward, and no time is lost.
Read the clues, then pick the answer. This is the kind of thinking we use in class — working from evidence rather than recall alone.
NEET Foundation at Brolly Juniors is for which classes?
Question 1 of 4 — Choose one answer.
A student does not need to have decided on medicine, and they certainly do not need to be a topper. They need to be in Class 9 or 10, reasonably steady with school science, and willing to redraw a diagram they got wrong.
New students usually find two things unfamiliar: being asked for the exact word rather than an approximate one, and drawing before checking rather than copying.
If your child is currently struggling with school science itself, start with biology, chemistry or physics tuition. Foundation work sits on top of a stable base, never instead of one — and we will say so plainly after the demo.

Our commitment Brolly Juniors does not promise ranks, qualification, marks, or admission to MBBS or any medical course. No centre can honestly guarantee those, and you should be cautious of any that does. What we commit to is clear teaching, a sensible pace, small batches and truthful feedback about your child's progress.
Tell us your child's class and what they enjoy. We will suggest the closest fit — with no pressure and no upfront payment.
One diagram from a previous week, drawn from memory in five minutes. It shows instantly what has stuck and what has faded.
The process is explained with its reasoning, not just its name and stages. Students are asked to say it back in their own words.
Questions worked together, with the educator asking "how do you know?" rather than supplying the next line.
The same content in multiple-choice form, where precise wording separates the right option from a close-looking wrong one.
Mistakes sorted into concept, careless or time, and added to the log. This is where the learning is banked.
Draw the system from memory, then compare against the correct version and mark your own gaps.
An everyday event is described and students identify which process explains it — and which subject it belongs to.
Look closely at plants around the centre and record what is actually visible, separating observation from assumption.
How an idea was actually worked out, including the wrong turns. Science makes more sense when it has a plot.
Teach one process to the class in ninety seconds. Gaps in understanding surface immediately.
Students revisit logged mistakes and sort them by cause — concept gap, careless slip, or ran out of time.
Projects use plants, observation, models and measurement only. No dissection, no handling of animals, no collecting blood or other biological samples, and no growing of bacteria or mould. Nothing requires chemicals or heat at home.
We do not tell fourteen-year-olds that their future is already at stake. It is not true, and frightened students learn worse than curious ones.
The timetable reflects that biology carries the largest share of the paper — rather than splitting the three subjects equally out of habit.
Weekly test results are shared with the family and never ranked publicly in front of the class.
Batches are kept small so every student is seen and heard. Ask us for the current batch size for your child's class.
The school syllabus is covered in full throughout both years, not squeezed out by exam practice.
If IIT Foundation or plain science tuition suits your child better, we will tell you — even though it means a smaller enrolment for us.
Trainers and mentors Sessions are taken by Brolly Juniors educators. For current trainer details, qualifications and who will be teaching your child's batch, contact Brolly Juniors on 9542344555. We publish trainer information only where it can be verified, so you will not find invented profiles or claimed past results on this page.
We share these directly, so what you get is current and specific to your child rather than a number that may not apply.
